Taking care of your body is a form of self-respect!
I was looking up the definition of respect today and I wanted to share with you what it read. “A feeling of deep admiration for someone elicited by their abilities, qualities or achievements.” WOW! After I read that it made me think about self-respect. That definition read “pride and confidence in oneself. A feeling that one is behaving with honor and dignity. Hmmm….are we treating ourselves with the same respect that we treat others with???? I think this is something that we don’t even think about enough and need to start being much more aware of. We DESERVE respect! We not only should be expecting it from others but demanding it from ourselves. Guys…What we are putting in our bodies. What we are doing or not doing with our bodies. What we are saying to ourselves both silently and out loud. How we act. How we REACT. How we carry ourselves. How we treat others. How we handle a challenging situation. We need to start being much more mindful of these things and start loving, admiring, honoring and respecting ourselves.
